Footgolf 2019: Letting the Feet do the Talking

Anderson Rowntree were once again lead sponsors for the third year running at the ever –competitive Footgolf tournament in aid of Just Different.

The event this year took place at Hunston Golf course, near Chichester. The sun shone and brought out a large number of teams who came to support such a great, local cause.

We fielded two teams from across our three offices for the challenge. Team “Below Par” featured Will Stisted Managing Partner, Jane Hodge Partner, Siobhan Perrigo Associate Solicitor and Louise Wilson Legal Secretary.

Team “On Par” included Charlotte Woods Partner, Nicola Burden Partner, Lena Pluck Accounts Manager and Jackie Boxall Legal Secretary.

As usual, every team gave it their all – and it isn’t as easy as it looks, kicking a ball down a testing course towards an oversized hole.

In the end Team “On Par” lived up to the name and  scored well, chasing the leaders all the way to the end but ultimately finishing second overall with a score of 131.

“Below Par” proved that their team name was a tad optimistic, but finished not far behind on 138. Credit must be given to Will's 12 year old son Eli who assisted “Below Par”  with the scoring and the odd well aimed kick. Sadly, his talent didn’t lead us to victory in the end!!

Said Will Stisted: The camaraderie between all teams taking part is always fantastic and, overall, it was a wonderful afternoon in the sunshine raising much needed money for charity.
