If you’re wondering how lockdown will affect your separation or divorce proceedings, our family law solicitors explain how the process will work.
We’re here to help
Though lockdown has brought many things to a grinding halt, the Anderson Rowntree family law solicitors are still here to offer legal advice and guidance. Whilst we ask that clients don’t visit our offices, we’re still contactable by phone and email. We can also conduct ‘face-to-face’ meetings via Skype, Zoom or Teams.
We have many years of experience handling the full range of issues that arise upon separation and divorce, including custody arrangements involving children. Our family solicitors also have particular expertise in dealing with complex financial cases involving substantial assets, pensions, family businesses, farms and trusts.
We approach each case with sensitivity and compassion, to provide the best legal advice and course of action. Our solicitors are committed to helping you in a hands-on, practical manner, and will be by your side throughout the entire process to offer advice, guidance and support.
‘Online’ divorce service
You can apply for a legal separation or divorce by post or online via the official government website. There is an application fee of £550 and it’s important to make sure the information you provide is accurate, otherwise, your application could be delayed or subject to further fees. If you have any problems completing your application, our experienced solicitors can guide you through the process.
More information about the divorce application process can be found here.
