We were delighted to join many supporters of the Festival of Chichester and be the sponsor of the formal launch of its Box Office and Programme for 2019.
Held at the Novium Theatre, a drinks and canapes reception was followed by a run through of what promises to be an exciting and imaginative programme by Phil Hewitt, chairman, and Barry Smith, co-ordinator.
This was followed by a recital by two guitar soloists, to give a taste of the Festival. A number of our partners and fee earners attended the event, along with some invited guests.
Dame Patricia Routledge, Patron of the Festival, then gave the keynote speech on the ground floor area overlooking the magnificent Roman ruins. Our Managing Partner, Will couldn't resist a quick photo opportunity!
Speaking at the event, Will said: "We are delighted to sponsor the launch of the Box Office for this year's Festival. It has become a really important part of the vibrant artistic culture of the city.
As a law firm that has been in West Sussex helping people and businesses for many generations, we make supporting our communities a priority and the arts are very important to us - ensuring they are accessible for all and able to thrive. This year's programme looks especially strong and I wish everyone the greatest success."
200 events are planned for the Festival, taking place in the summer, combining a brilliant programme of classical music with the best in jazz, blues, folk, rock, pop and world music. Add thrilling theatre, book events, talks and poetry, exhibitions, walks, tours, cinema, open days and galas and there really is something for everyone. Grounded in the Chichester community, the Festival welcomes local and international performers of the highest calibre to our historic city.
